As an integrative relational therapist I use a number of different modalities to tailor sessions to your needs. Together we might delve into the past, listen to your current thoughts and feelings, or explore what you want the future to look like. Therapy with me isn’t about implementing strategies or giving you a long to do list. It’s about finding the part of you who wants to live life rather than survive it, and making it stronger. As part of this we might talk or we might explore things through creative work with stones, shells, mark making (no artistic talent required!) or mindfulness.
I have a BSc in Psychology, PGCE and a PGDip in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have taught psychology, trained teachers in mental health areas such as anxiety, depression, and self harm and run workshops on anxiety for students. I have worked as a therapist for Mind and Just B and as a listener for the Samaritans. My specialist area is working with postnatal mums experiencing depression, anxiety and rage, though I work with anyone who feels they’re living in these types of survival modes.
