ELAINE COLLINS
Through her person-centred training, Elaine’s warmth and empathy are central to her counselling approach. Combined with her life experiences of working and living abroad—as well as her role as a mother of three, daughter & partner. Elaine understands the challenges that family and work life can bring. She listens to the complexities of thoughts and emotions, helping her clients explore ways forward and bring about positive change. Whether dealing with issues from childhood or current challenges, Elaine is there to support you every step of the way.

Elaine has a wealth of experience with – Relationship and family issues, self esteem and confidence issues, anxiety, grief, working with neurodiverse clients.

Elaine originally qualified and worked as a teacher in the UK, and has also lived abroad for many years working with people form many different cultures.

After returning to the England and having a career break to bring up her family, she found herself drawn to helping close friends and family who were experiencing challenges with their mental health and wellbeing.

This sparked her interest to find out how to help others who are going through difficult times and she trained as a therapeutic counsellor. Elaine has worked in the charity sector for Mind and also in Leeds at Phoenix Health and Wellbeing as well as in Private Practice.
