Relational integrative psychotherapy focuses on the importance of the relationship between client and therapist, and uses a number of different approaches depending on the needs of the client, a therapist’s toolbox if you like.
You may find you have behaviours or ways of coping that served you well in the past, that are now getting in the way of different elements of your life – relationships, work, how much you value yourself, day to day living.
Through the therapeutic relationship you increase your understanding of these behaviours, and with that understanding work towards change if you wish.
Michaela has interest in grief and ambiguous loss, relationships, depression and anxiety, addiction, trauma, complex trauma, anger, isolation and has additional training in infant and pre-term loss.
In sessions you will be invited to share whatever may be pressing for you at the time, and if nothing is present, you will be offered time and space to think and feel into the session at your own pace. Michaela will be alongside you throughout your therapy, offering empathy, compassion and understanding.
